Full Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all Brevet Holidays, Tours, Sportives, Randonnées, Training Camps and Custom Trips, from here on referred to as a Tour. Brevet is part of Borne Group SARL. Borne Group SARL is registered in Switzerland as N° CHE-237.681.228

Safety and The Acceptance of Risk

By accepting these terms and conditions I accept that I am taking part in an organized sporting Tour that will involve strenuous physical activity. I accept that I am physically fit enough to partake in strenuous activity and that if I have any doubts or concerns that it is my responsibility to consult a qualified medical practitioner.

I accept that cycling, swimming and running and any other sports activity that I undertake on the Tour are activities that will place me at risk of injury and death and accept these risks and confirm that I will be responsible for my own actions throughout the period of the Tour.

I hereby agree that, except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Brevet, neither Brevet nor its employees or contractors will have any liability (whether in contract or in tort, including negligence) for any loss, damage, injury or death which I may suffer in connection with this Tour nor for any failure by me to take out adequate insurance.

I accept and will adhere to the Brevet policy of:

  • No insurance = no riding
  • No helmet = no riding

Insurance

Guests must have full travel, medical and personal accident insurance to book a Brevet Tour. You will be asked next of kin details when you book. Brevet accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to persons or property during a guest’s stay. Flights are not included in your Brevet Tour and you should ensure your travel insurance covers any potential issue with your flight. You must ensure your travel insurance policy covers you to take part in your specific sport and any other sport or activity you choose to take part in on your Tour. See our Insurance Requirements for more details.

Deposit

At the time of booking a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of 500 Euros is required.

If the Tour starts in less than 12 weeks full payment is required.

Payment of a deposit indicates acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of the booking.

Full Payment

Full payment of the total Tour cost is required 12 weeks before the first day of the Tour.

Payment Details

Payments are to made in Euros (€). For the balance payment amount please see the Payment tab on the page describing your Tour. Payment can be by bank transfer or payment can be made securely online via Stripe using your preferred credit card.

Minimum Numbers

We require a minimum of six riders for a Tour to run. If a Tour does not reach the minimum number of riders we reserve the right to cancel the Tour and offer a transfer to another Tour or a full refund of your payments to Brevet. We will not be liable for any other costs incurred to the guest and the refund will be limited to your payments to Brevet.

Online Payment Security

We use the leading online payment provider Stripe which automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer t using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). You are free to use your preferred credit card to pay for your holiday.

Bank Transfer

All related bank transfer costs of refund will be paid for by the guest. Payment by Bank Transfer to the following account:

Cancellation by Brevet

In the event of a cancellation by Brevet all monies paid (minus the non-refundable deposit) to Brevet will be fully refunded to the Guest.

Cancellation by Guest

If you need to cancel your Tour the following refund policy will apply:

  • + 12 weeks from the first day of the Tour = 100% refund of total trip cost excluding non-refundable deposit
  • 8 to 12 weeks from the first day of the Tour = 50% refund of total trip cost excluding non-refundable deposit
  • < 8 weeks from the first day of the Tour = no refund
  • Maratona: Cancellation after the full payment has been made = no refund

If your Tour includes an event entry fee and you need to cancel your Tour your event entry cost will not be refunded. This is in addition to your non-refundable deposit.

All related bank costs of refund will be paid for by the guest in the event of a cancellation by the guest.

Transfers

Every holiday includes return transfers from the specified Airport during a specified Transfer Window. Guests who can’t meet the specified Transfer Window should consider these Transfer Options. Guests who do not use the included transfers will not be entitled to a refund of the included transfer cost.

Baggage Allowance

Each guest is entitled to a maximum baggage Allowance of: 1 Bike Box + 1 Hold Luggage + 1 Hand Luggage

Dietary Requirements

Our Booking Form includes a mandatory section for informing us of your dietary requirements. Our hotel chefs can cater for your dietary requirements if you let us know in advance. Please note that as one kitchen is used for the preparation of all food the avoidance of gluten cross contact can not be guaranteed. This applies to all potential food allergy cross contact.
